Amish Chic - You Saw It Here First

We missed the Super Bowl this year and watched a Catherine Denueve movie instead. She's still quite sporty at 66. As usual, there was much discussion about the commercials, including one for VW featuring Amish. We also recently heard about Amish puppy mills becoming a problem.

Way back in December 2009, we were telling you about the rise of Amish chic. We knew it would take a while for it to catch on, but apparently it's going to be the thing for 2010.

More people watch the Super Bowl for the Amish than for the game. The Amish make delicious hot pepper jelly. Buy it at the mart next to the Phil;y train station.

mouse - And just as Horton Heard a Who, I hear THE Who were heard in all their geriatric glory.

Bryce - The Amish are slowly coming up in the sports world. I hear that barn raising got the green light to be part of the Winter Olympics. That hot pepper jelly shows that they are lot all bland and self sacrificing.

whoops meant football phobes not phones!!

forgot to mention that I loved the included episode of junkthief tv!

I wasn't aware until the fam was talking about the who and the songs they played that the songs were theme songs to cbs tv shows....shameless cross marketing!

mouse - Now that you mention it, I realize they have some of their songs as TV themes. Well, they did have an album called "The Who Sell Out".

Bryce's Burberry scarf is post-Amish chic, is it not?

I, too, can attest to the fine quality of the Amish markets in the Philly Reading Terminal.
