Wet in Denver
Am I the only one watching the DNC in Denver, albeit in and out? Nothing was off script, but I'm a sucker for thing such as the Ted Kennedy speech and even seeing a family values spouting Michelle Obama.
And the FOX News skybox being attacked by the sprinklers was the best off-script moment on day one.

I'm still sort of surfacing, after a seven-day work week. Catching up on my teevee watching ('Mad Men', 'Generation Kill', Anthony Bourdain...).
But we did stumble across a bit of it, last evening. I'm not sure why they do the whole live footage with inset talking heads thing even when the event is done for the evening. Last night, as the commentators were commenting, there was riveting footage in the foreground of...People picking up trash and straightening chairs. A metaphor for governance?
Rich - I am definitely a part of the trash disposal and chair straightening caste. However, Michelle was lovely on the whole, I thought.
teddy was fabulous...as was michelle also found jesse jackson jr words very affective - taken by his remark alluding to mlk speech about the convention being in the mountains......also some good (and powerful -like the women with the awful goodyear story)moments last night....look forward to tonight.... and of course thursday....
Mouse - Glad to know I am not the only one that endures these conventions with pleasure. I go all the way back to the one in 1964 when I held an LBJ fundraiser with other kiddos in our garage.
I wasn't at all convinced by Michelle Obama.
Ted Kennedy however, was so moving. Man, that was wonderful and painfully sad at the same time.
WAT - I've always liked Michelle, so I was an easy sell. She certainly has more going for her than a certain former rodeo queen/beer heiress from Arizona.
