Before We Had Grey Gardens...
...we had the Pruitts who helped fuel my lifelong obsession with eccentric aristocrats down on their luck. I usually spent the next couple of the days prancing around the house with my own take on "How'dja do, how'dja do, how'dja do, my dear." I still say it on certain days.

yeay! I found this a while back on my own...the song's been in my mind ever since.
Jason - This show is the perfect remedy for these recessionary days.
OMG how do you find this stuff???
Was this a real show? It looks fantastic. Do you know if it is available?
Gary - It was a real show but not on DVD yet as far as I can tell. If they ever release it, that would be marvy-poo.
It is, as you say, quite timely. It's sort of the reverse of the Beverly Hillbillies.
Susan - Yes, that was how it was promoted back then. And I thought it was much more entertaining than the "Beverly Hillbillies".
EES weird to see Phyllis Diller so young.
WAT - Young? Well, she was around 50 then, so I'll accept that as young.
Champagne taste and a beer bottle pocket in sitcom form, with Phyllis Diller. Brilliant!
Salty - And I have always loved her boots.
