No, We Weren't Consulted on the Name
When the story appeared on last night's news broadcast, the resident basenji princess perked up when she heard her name said several times in less than a minute. The White House dog, for the record, spells his name Bo and is male. The first lady of the house is fairly unimpressed so far, but she wants it to go on the record that she had her name for six years before this canine came on the scene.Labels: Barack Obama, Basenjis, Bow, dogs, Presidents, White House

Yours is actually the first picture I've seen of the First Dog. He's cute -- for some reason I've only seen pics in the past of Portuguese Water Dogs with that freakish-poodle-like clip.
Of course, Bow is much more elegant and regal looking; I like short hair best.
I keep meaning to ask -- I assume you realize that the "name" of your blog is just a hyphen. Why is that?

Ah, yes, regarding my blog being listed as "-". When I formatted with the fancy dancy hand-created masthead and in formatting listed the name of my blog, it comes up embedded in the arty masthead in ugly Courier type, so the only option was to come up with just a dot or hyphen that is not so obvious bleeding through if that makes sense. I'm sure there is a way to cure all of that if I want to spend an entire Saturday reading through Blogger instructions.

I thought Bow's named was prounounced like WOW.
