By Friday, a decision is supposed to be made with work whether I'll be going to Ecuador or Nepal in March. I've been to the former three times, the latter five. So I am hoping it's the former. Though the latter would be fine, albeit not with a 20 hour flight.
However, I don't think I can negotiate my way out of those trips to Fresno and Wichita.
Dave - Actually much of the time in Nepal will be in the Terai, so it would be more tropical togs than parkas.
Dan - Oh, sure. How's your Nepali and Quechua?
Reya - Very different, but also very similar -- mountains, indigenous people, similar colors in the art and textiles. It's a work trip taking donors to program sites.
Kusala - I'd love to take you up on your offer. Yes, I definitely need an assistant but a bigger budget first, sadly. I don't think you'd want my job this week - budget review, list compiling, software updates, strategic plan report. I just write about the fun stuff.

Be sure to let us know which one it is soon so I know if I should pack my parka.
If they send you to Ecuador, can I go to Nepal and cover for you there? And vice versa?
Thanks for visiting my blog yesterday. That was way cool.
Wow, talk about two very different places. I vote for Ecuador, too. What will you be doing there?
I think I might want your job (whatever it is). Need an assistant?

My Nepali is doing fine? The Quenchua? Can't find him. He got drunk the other day and I haven't seen him since.
Dan - Oh, Lord. Yeah, I think I'll pass on sub-contracting the trip to you. Thanks for the offer, though!
I also want your job, but I don;t think I'd stand a chance against Kusula. ;)
Jill - In my dream world I'd have the budget to hire you both.
