The Bow Chronciles: Hour Two Begins
We've only been together about an hour and 45 minutes, but I am already smitten by my little princess. I know that there is always a honeymoon period with a foster, but after fostering a 40 pound plus aggressive boy and now having a little girl that is barely over 20 pounds I know that in the worst case scenario I could just pick her up and remove her from harm's way.
Special "pet" names are already popped up including: Bowsie, Bow-Bow, Miss B, Lady Bow. Add your own. Did I also mention that she's a major league snuggler?

oh my goodness she is absolutely the sweetest of sweeties!!! I like the pet names and suggest the addition of "lil b" and "lil miss b"
dixie and matilda wishes they could hang with her....
I look forward to hearing how the honeymoon progresses--who know it may never end....
Mouse - Okay, the closest to a dark side was that she peed in the dining room, but simply because she'd been in a care for half a day. Even ladies have there limits. Really, she's just a doll.
I'm always amazed at how "normal sized" basenji seem SO small! My Stormie is a big boy! He also tips the scale at 40+ pounds - always an armful! When I'm around my Mom's little basenji girl I'm always in awe of how easy she is to handle as opposed to my boy!
I'm also loving the pet names! I'm sure you'll have added to the list this morning! Can't wait to hear them!
~Me~ - When I let her out of the crate, I almost said "They've made a mistake, this is a puppy not a full grown dog." My first foster was also 40 pounds and all muscle. Trying to walk him was like having a linebacker on a leash.
She looks just like a little fox.
I myself am fond of 'Miss Bow'. 'Bowneesha' doesn't seem to suit her.
I'm so happy you adore your girl!
Jill - Bowneesha sounds like an anti-depressant.
Bowneesha - I think I've taken that one! It works great!
Joe - I certainly feel less blue since my Bowneesha arrived.
Hurray - I am glad your beloved is here in time for Thanksgiving.
Susan - She is definitely a reason to be thankful.
