What's The Opposite of Up with People?

If Up with People can have a documentary about the why not one about Os Mutantes. The music of Up with People makes me to shiver and wretch, even though I'm laughing at them as I listen and watch. Os Mutantes makes me want to take on the status quo and shake my butt and have a good time while doing it. Bread and Circuses sounds like a lot of fun. Another Brazilian film to track down. This is not a blog about Brazil. Yet.

A Lot Less People to Worry About, And A Lot More People That Care

Oh, I may have to fly to Park City to blast out of the mid-winter doldrums. The movie Smile 'Til It Hurts: The Up With People Story is apparently taking Sundance by storm. It really sounds like just my kind of movie.

For the many readers who likely are too young to know what Up With People was all about, it's hard for them to imagine. I just remember being dragged to see them by a Republican uncle who was intent on proving to me that not all young people wanted to join the Jefferson Airplane.
