Mr. Junk Thief's Neighborhood

Running some errands and lunch at We Be Sushi, and I nabbed shots of these:

I'm so glad that Carlos' Club next to the 24th Mission BART welcomes commuters......since I am sure most of those Coronas out front were consumed by housewives from Orinda that sneaked in for a little brewsky before the kids and hubby came home.
They can always sober up down the street at the original Philz Coffee at 24th and Folsom. No wonder the Castro location closed since it never had the authentic bohemian vibe of this place.

The season is upon us.
I'll be somewhere over the Atlantic when the Castro Carving Club comes out on the 31st, but here in the hood we have the Foxy Lady. It reminds me a lot of a drag shop in OKC when I was growing up called Sparkle A-Plenty that was in the same building as the Mayflower Theater. Talk about one stop shopping. You could watch a John C. Holmes film, watch a Pentecostal preacher blow a vice squad cop and then buy a lame gown before heading home.
I am giving serious thought to asking the managers of this bar about hosting a party to screen the season finale of Junk Thief TV. If I do, would you come?

Joy - Well book your ticket now! I am a clean thief, but I'll hang out with them just this one time at least.

if the stars align (for passage), I wouldn't miss it! glad to hear you are a clean thief...dirty thieves might be fun - but they are often are a bit stinky

If I am not at the finale in person, I will be, in spirit!

Will you be wearing your lame gown?

I like seeing your 'hood. It's quite differt than Gavin's.
Let me know the date and I might just drive up to the Dirty Thief. You don't happen to own an interest in the bar, do you?

I'd be pleased as punch to drive up and visit your neighborhood.
I'll bring some delicious Monkeyhead soup and a few cd's of harp music.
