Where to Begin, Where to End?

Oh, it's too friggin' hard to even pick shots from the 100s of photos your beloved ladron nabbed over the past seven days. But let's do this:

One from the very beginning of the trip
One more or less midway through and fairly random.
And the final shot as he awaited the train from SFO to 24th and Mission (where the escalator was not working, but thank God for the elevator.)

In the meantime, the ladrom is back in San Francisco, but he is not home. We'll talk about what he considers to be home soon.

Until then, el ladron es muy cansado and will talk to you ...later.

You are home senor. I can't wait for the pictures of Gaudiana. I love the Park and the apartment buildings. I love mosaic in general. I've never seen a bad mosiac. In S.F. for example lots of bad murals but NO bad outdoor Mosaics.

Yes, I do not really consider S.F. "home." Maybe Minneapolis, Austin, Laguna Beach (Though it's been blighted) and of course Lillehammer.

I will be delighted to see more JT blog action and hear about your trip! Welcome back to the states...

My home is in Philadelphia, (I moved there when I was 21)but I'm hoping to find another soon.

Bryce - Austin? Well, it's okay in my book but nto Lilehammer. I think Baku would thrill me too.

Joy - Gracias. Barcelona es el sueño más dulce de todos.

Jill - I always felt Manhattan was my home town since every time I hit Fifth Avenue or Broadway I knew I was home. Those streets have since taken a back seat to Passeig de Gracias.

When does planning for the next trip to BCN begin? With a little advance notice this time, I'll definitely be on board.

I'm hoping that stern look in the "mid-way" shot isn't due to fighting gastric distress brought on by eating too many plates of mongetes at the Egipte.

So glad you had a great trip and I look forward to the photos.

Emily - Wanting to smile? I am smiling.

Kusala - How about this weekend? Let's defy the U.S. veterans day with a quick getaway via Iberia.

Mr. Peenee - Thanks. I'm not sure about the "being back" part. I was obviously more at home in Catalonia than in dreary old San Francisco.

Man, I had it in my head that this trip of yours was going to be longer. Since I am commenting out of order, having already seen some of your pictures in more recent posts, I must comment on the beauty you captured.

I think I need to get away for a bit myself, by myself.
