Glamour Index in the Mission Reaches New High
Regulars here know that I often refer to my glamorous arrondissement, the Mission District, as the "Pacific's answer to Mayfair". That adage seems to be truer and truer every day. Not only do we have the many chic boutiques and absinthe bars on Valencia, but now you are seeing this on Mission Boulevard itself -- hanging flower pots such as this one at 22nd and Mission. Chic, chic, so unique. That's the Mission.

I witnessed three redneck girls having their first shots of absinthe this weekend, in Pendleton. The bottle itself was labelled 'Lucid', which is about as contradictory a brand name as I've heard.
I'm thinking that it wasn't the real thing, but all the same, they hadn't even heard of the stuff before, so had to try it.
Upon being told that they might experience hallucinations, one of them asked, "What's a hallucination?"
Rich - First the Pacific Northwest gave us meth, now an absinthe revival. What next!
My mom loves plants! I mean, LOVES THEM! She'd be looking at these for a good while.
WAT - Well, if she's standing at that intersection, tell her to hold on to her purse tightly while she's looking up.
