Being just a few inches away from Guy Maddin last night, I wished I'd been brave enough to ask him when My Winnipeg will finally be screened in this cultural backwater that is San Francisco. They're showing it in Palm Springs fro Chrissakes!
I really need to see those Canadian man pageants.

He was the visionless goofball behind the Saddest Music in the World. Has he gotten any better? Out of his German Expre phase yet? Prehaps he can stop true actors talents on his crap and let them work on real films.
Gavin - I think we'll have to agree to disagree on this one. Though I acknowledge that he's better at the shorter format than full blown features.
If you have cable and pay-per-view, you might be able to catch it. It's been playing here on the "IFC In Theaters" PPV channel for a while.
T$ - Yes, I've heard about it being available that way, but I don't have cable.
