She Nailed It

I haven't watched SNL with any regularity or interest for more than 20 years, especially since Tina Fey's departure. After two weeks of everyone saying Palin was a Tina Fey twin, she got the accent and mannerisms down perfectly. What is that accent? It's sort of weird mix of Fargo meets Long Island to my ear. However, I think Tina's hella lot cuter than Palin. And I bet she has held a passport for a lot longer.

Yes, Tina did a great job with this.

I look forward to meeting you over the weekend of the 27th and also having you visit the school on the 29th.

This skit was VERY VERY funny.

I love how they made the Hillary character slowly lose her temper.

WAT - Hillary and I have the same reaction to Palin.

I really loved the skit.

However, to my ear, Tina's accent was more western Great Lakes and Northern Plains (Marge Gunderson in Fargo). Palin's accent is really hard to nail. Someone said it's a ringer for Edie McClurg, but that's really not right either. Very interesting, I tell ya! (Seriously, the frustrated linguist in me loves hearing her talk; I can't help it.)
