I saw the Del Rubio Triplets open for Dread Zeppelin in some club in Hollywood circa 1991. They were very amusing and kept expressing their enjoyment at performing for us "young folks." Nothing stranger than standing in a crowd of Gen X post-punk types watching three 60ish identical women in matching bouffants and hot pants perform acoustic covers of Door's songs. Oddly satisfying.

JunkThief is your typical Gallic Jew boy born on the Great Plains, went to Gotham and Ouagadougou and Kathmandu before settling in San Francisco's Mission District. Now he searches the dark alleys of that city to find good conversation, Weimar culture and (but of course) the perfect door knob.

I had the privilege of seeing the Del Rubios perform twice in one day back in college. A force for good in our time.
Huntington - Lucky U. Were they as gorgeous in person as on TV?
Thank you for reminding me I need to get ahold of Pee Wee's Xmas Special and watch it soon!
Jill - I tried to avoid completely copying Joe.My.God, but here's the link to the thrilling opening of that special.
I have seen them before. So wrong and oh so right!
Gorgeous, and really friendly, too.
Huntington - Sad that only one of them is left.
Gary - I'm not worthy! I've met a man who's met the Del Rubios.
