Momento de Miguel - Hey Max

Although I could be offended that Miguel had an English language lyric for this song, the whole point is that it is broken, immigrant English. It came out around the time he started speaking out against the "wall" to "protect" the U.S. from Mexico and that inhuman piece of sewage known as the Patriot Act. The lyric, since it is actually a bit hard to understand is: "...you can be a souvenir, you can be a perfect idiot, not in here, at home ..."

The stop-motion approach is not unlike Junk-Mation, and it's worth it to go to the end when he is kissing two guys.

This was my fundamental problem with VELVETINA, the mish mash of all kinds of lyrics in all dem languages.

Altho, somehow some of this album has slowly grown on me as the years go by. I do like the video here tho. Thanx for posting!

Actually, the mish mash of languages and styles -- sometimes in just one song -- is what I love about this album. Maybe that's because I have such a short attention span, I enjoyed being jolted around.

The video (if you can call it that since it's mainly a rush of still images) is a favorite. It's really worth investing in the double disc CD/video since there's video for "Ella dijo no" which is too hot for YouTube and filled with bisex imagery and Miguel at his most caliente. Oh, and it hasa good beat and you can dance to it.
