Top of My List
Okay, I know it's been going through many of my readers' heads. What, oh, what do you give Junk Thief for the holidays this year? I know that finding the right gift for the king of all junk is not an easy task, so I am pleased to give you a tip. This little beauty is just what I want.
It's so state-of-the-art, so sleek, so...20th Century. I called Best Buy, and they seem to have run out of them. However, I suggest stopping by the soon to be defunct CompUSA. This seems just the sort of thing you'd find at that place.

Oh wow! What a neat invention!! I want a Phone Mate now too! What a concept! Now being home and still receiving messages anyway? Extraordinary! I'll just toss my incredibly small portable cell phone into the fire now. With a coffin-sized machine like the Phone Mate, who needs that piece of shit cell phone anyway?
WAT - When it comes to my messages, bigger is better.
Does this mean I have to exchange the Commodore 64 I bought for you?
Jill - No, I'll still take the Commodore 64 provided it works with Windows 96. I hope you love your Atari set and Earth Shoes I just sent via Fed Ex. Pony Express never responded to my call.
I'm sure Fryes has it somewhere. Just don't ask them to help you find it: look on isle 154.3
Scot - Thanks for the tip. I've not been in a Frye's in a while. Are they like Best Buy and Home Depot where they start running if they see a customer looking for help?
Just the thing I need for that landline no one I know owns anymore.
And as for Frye's: yes. If there was any better confirmation for my theory that geeks in packs are vindictive little bastards just like the rest of humanity, I haven't seen it yet.
I cant wait for these to come out! I want my phone messages to be private not on some mystery server in Virgina.
her hair is DELICIOUS. if I were a woman i'd dress just like that. wait. i'm a man and i dress just like that!
Gavin - Virginia! How'd you swing that? My service is in Bangalore with a girl named "Mindy".
m00nchild - You dress like that too? Wow, I have a twin!
oooh and it's so tiny too. Only takes up half my desk! I can still pay bills on the other side of desk...by writing a check with my account number in the memo area, filling out the invoice slipping it into this handy envelope, addressing the envelope, finding a stamp, licking it and sticking it and taking that short walk to the corner mail box where in about three hours my mail carrier will .... ah...you get the picture.
