Mouse - I am trying to take the high road. Yes, it's a milestone that the Republican Party has chosen a woman for the VP candidate. I even celebrated, in theory at least, the selection of Ms. Rice as Secretary of State (albeit challenged by a Jewish female Senator from California -- Yipeee!). Now we've honored the fact that Ms. Palin is a woman, a loving mother with a son in Iraq and has a Downs Syndrome baby. Now let's get to the issues and the fact that Ms. Palin opposes a woman's right to choose and gay marriage, supports drilling in environmentally fragile areas and the sees no reason to protect polar bears. (Even Coke lovers know they're adorable!) Given the choices, I am going with crusty old Joe Biden and that young man from Illinois with the funny name. Fight the right fight, and more life!
you summation is so well put! it's hard to take the high road when there's just so much there to offend those who are committed to equal rights for all, a deep passionate love of our little blue sphere (and all the critters on it - even polar bears)..... l'chei-im!

WAT - Much to be said for rugged Alaskan men, including Bristol's husband-to-be Levi. However, some of Palin's skeleton's may be a God send to Obama.
