About Me
- Name: Ladrón de Basura (a.k.a. Junk Thief)
- Location: San Francisco, California, United States
JunkThief is your typical Gallic Jew boy born on the Great Plains, went to Gotham and Ouagadougou and Kathmandu before settling in San Francisco's Mission District. Now he searches the dark alleys of that city to find good conversation, Weimar culture and (but of course) the perfect door knob.

Paul McCartney has a cool song on the DRIVING RAIN album called "Riding To Jaipur." Is this the same place you speak of here?
WAT - Also in India, also a "city of color" but a different one. Jaipur is called the pink city. Sir Paul likely went there during his whole meditation/guru phase.
We aim to educate here at Junk Thief.
I love this "city of color" idea - Morocco has a lot of them too. Maybe someone could expand it to a"city of pattern." Like all polka dots. All plaid.
Fancy - The possibilities are endless -- cities of textures, towns of taste, burgs of scents, metros of ambiance...
I wish I'd gone to Jodhpur (and Jaipur, for that matter) when I was in India. Ah, well, next time!
Steve - I've been to India three times and have yet to go to either yet.
