JTTV - Season 2, Episode 3 - Mothra Dissected

Blog superstar Bryce Digdug makes his JunkThief TV debut by giving us insights into the classic Japanese monster movie, "Mothra". Vivian Valvoom lends her talents for our new opening credits.

UPDATE: A few people have asked about the aspect ratio on this episode. Yes, it was shot in Cinerama. Yes, we are planning to show it on a big screen. Details are being ironed out, but if all goes right Bryce and I hope to be in Hollywood for the big gala screening during Thanksgiving weekend. We'll be wearing acrylic sweaters just to be on the safe side.

Fabulous if I don't say so myself.

I want to see an episode with Bunter in his Diesel collar!

Oh, please do say so. I hope you didn't find it too distracting, but Bunter was STARK NAKED while you were being filmed.

Guess what I picked up at Virgin tonight? "Mothra vs. Godzilla" or "Godzilla vs. The Thing". Is it true that this is the movie where Mothra said "Miss Think to you !"?

Dear God Bryce you sing it better than those faries do. You must have been describing the international cut of the film. I remember the ending where a giant 70 watt light bulb is placed in the center of Tokyo and mothra repeatedly flies into the bulb and dies from a concussion.

JT I know I'll catch hell for saying this but damn it here it goes:

"I want to come on your blog."

There I said it.

Oh and trust me on this one...
SEE "Ghidorah The Three-Headed Monster."

The dialog is worthy of a stage adaptation. make sure you get the english version.

Consider my pants peed.

This was easily my favorite episode ever. Mr. Dug gave a lovely summary, although I wouldn't have minded seeing a few more clips of Mothra in action mixed in there. Because you can never see too much Mothra. Well, I can't. And I was thrilled to see that Gravy On A Stick was one of the sponsors.

Also, put some pants on that cat.

Gavin - Uh, I'm speechless. Whose blog, by they way?

Dave - I had planned to put some pants on him, but with Mothra being performed I was in no mood for him to follow your lead and soil a pair of fresh Diesel cat jeans.

-The coit tower is a phallic symbol!

-The opening credits are very reminiscent of ALL IN THE FAMILY.

-I want Bryce's prescription meds so I too can have a smile plastered onto my face like that!

-Larvae? Is that some malformed dildo Mr. Digdug is holding in his hand?!

WAT - I like to slip in as many phallic symbols as possible. That little sweet potato looks like a dildo? Baby, you've obviously never seen one the size of mine. Bryce's smile was just him trying to be polite as I did my Miss South Carolina meltdown as I fumbled for the words. Uh...as a United States American...I think that South Africa needs maps...I think young people should have...maps so that the Iraq will...to raise up the education of this country and Europe...

The opening credits are Norman Lear-esque in general, Maude-esque in particular. Remember that organ-tinged opening line?

Gary - "Bryce" is a unique talent with a wonderfully warped sense of humor that resonates with me. Until I'd seen this routine, I had no idea he had such a singing voice!

Dear God Cinerama? Really? Well hell lets get this episode booked! We can show it just before Krakatoa, East of Java!
