Cities cooler than it is in the Mission today: New Orleans, Miami, San Diego, Honolulu, Nashville. This is wrong and miserable. I want my money back. Tomorrow is supposed to be a tad more civilized.

JunkThief is your typical Gallic Jew boy born on the Great Plains, went to Gotham and Ouagadougou and Kathmandu before settling in San Francisco's Mission District. Now he searches the dark alleys of that city to find good conversation, Weimar culture and (but of course) the perfect door knob.

On Friday I had to spend all day inside searching for my keys! Finally around 8:00 pm I realized that I had an extra pair in my chest of drawers. I went to Burger Joint for a Boca Burger then to Amnesia where the band Hot Club Sandwich was playing. Sort of gypsy jazz. The bouncer left about half-way through the show not having too many people to bounce since everyone was outside where it was cooler. Who shows up and sits in the bouncer's seat but Elmer?
About 107 degrees for the past four or five days here.
Bryce - I think you meant Omer, but maybe all that heat made the O melt into an E and L.
WAT - Poor baby. It's actually wonderfully cool here tonight. Why don't you fly up. I'll make cocktails in the back yard!
