Guru - 24 Hours and Counting

Guru has just passed the first 24 hour test. We did a "should he stay" straw poll with my co-workers. Can you guess how the votes stacked up? I've also already had one baby-sitter volunteer step up to offer to help for my upcoming travels.

Anyone else?

By the way, if he stays, Guru will become his middle name and he'll adopt the first name of Tarquin.

Bryce - I hope you're serious! That may be the main contingency for him being able to stay.

Seems like a noble and stalwart dog, although I haven't met him.

Rich - They were the favorite dogs of the Egyptian royals.

my cousin suz had a rescued basenji - a sweeter hound was hard to find - congratulations! I can't imagine you will be lacking willing dog sitters...in my opinion, tarquin is a much better name = guru, though I love having various ones, seems like a heavy burden to place on somebody...is there a particular tarquin you are naming him in honor?
I hope it was tarquin the elder rather than the proud - a much sweeter dude....

hey see you soon, right...

What a handsome boy! He looks like he is very well-mannered, too. I hope so.
More pictures, please!

Mouse - I'll make the name decision if the adoption goes through. Guru for now.

Salty - He is good about obeying commands, but there is a wild African hunting dog that is waiting to bring home an antelope. I keep reminding him that as a descendant of the Egyptian royal court he must remain regal.
