It's hard for me to picture her in a tropical setting since everything about her made me think of Scotland. It was also hard for me to wrap my mind around the fact that she grew up in Astoria, Queens, since everything about her voice also made me think of Scotland. Maybe she listened to a lot of Donovan which convinced her to use the singular moniker. Back then I went by just "Junk" and wore a lot of shepherd garb. I still have about six of her original LPs, including her Carnegie Hall concert. That must have been a thrill for a little girl from Queens.
