As Long As I'm Moving

I'm feeling mildly down this evening, nothing major, but that lull that can come between two trips, a weird mix of dread and excitement.

Seeing the wonderful Janis Martin who passed on a couple years ago singing this song I know mainly from Ruth Brown makes me feel a bit better. What great lyrics, and what a presence Janis was. I think she just got better with age.

It must be rabbit 'cause mink don't feel that way.

Ched - PBS did a great documentary seven or eight years ago when I first discovered Janis. She was called the "female Elvis" and said Ruth Brown was her greatest influence. She is a wonderful, funny, gutsy, beer drinking old gal. Too bad that she's gone.
