I wish we had cars like that parked around here. It's all gigantic SUVs up and down my street... which means parking for maybe 6 cars instead of 12, and each one more boring than the next.

You car show is MUCH more fun!!

Joy - Geez, do you live in Manhattan or Westchester? Though, Manhattan looks more and more like Westchester (or Menlo Park) every time I go back. Not the city I recall and loved.

It's so weird to think that these cars are "vintage." They look so normal to me!!

It was just last year that Tom Ballinger, an old neighbor and friend in Bernal Heights, stopped working on old VW's.

Lovin' the slide shows! Very cool!!

Sadly Manhattan is looking like Westchester with these horrible TRUCKS. Ugh. But there is one car that regularly parks on my block that I ADORE - a Mini Cooper with a license plate that reads "I FIT". Everyone in NYC should be driving those instead of their gas guzzling behemoths.

I can dream.

Reya - Actually the two bugs were across Cesar Chavez in Bernal, so these may have been patients of your friend.

Kimy & Joy - We're not without SUVs and even Hummers, but I have no desire to photograph them.

Jill - Thanks. It's a more practical use of blog space than having a long line of static shots.
